Timbalero Ralph Irizarry and his New York-based septet Timbalaye are in Toronto and ready continue the 2nd Anniversary celebrations. Timbalaye will kick off both evenings followed by Caché on Friday and our Toronto All Stars/New York jam on Saturday night both nights will also feature dance classes with Ana Machado. June at Lula is packed with three shows presented by Gary Topp. Torch singer Sam Phillips makes a one night appearance on June 14. Jonathan Richman returns for three nights June 21 to 23 and Habanasax will once again treat us to their explosive fusion of Afro-Latino rhythms and melodies.

Lula Lounge is an official Toronto Downtown Jazz venue this year. Don't miss the Groove Suite 5 on June 29 and 30 featuring Lyne Tremblay and Sunnie Paxson. Dinner and show packages are available most nights in June. Call us for details or to make a reservation.

Finally, we want to congratulate to Ken and Jamie who tied the knot at Lula Lounge last Sunday. The wedding was by all accounts a huge success. Friends and family of the newlyweds from as far away as England and Korea got a great kick out of Miko’s dance lesson then danced the night away to Caché. We wish you two all the joy in the world and thank you again for sharing this special event with the Lula gang.
