Mahgeetah Lounge March 13
Megan Hamilton presents a series of singer songwriter nights in our intimate front lounge. Hamilton has been described as the child Gillian Welch and Nick Drake never had. With her unique, rough and ready voice, Megan sings offbeat songs of lonesome martyrs stretching out in the sun and drunken evenings fending off a fruit fly looking for a home.

Over March and April, Lula Lounge presents a series of Portuguese music and culture. On March 16 Nuno Cristo presents Anima Fado with the music of urban Portugal. Come hear the romantic and tragic songs of destiny from the narrow and cobbled streets of Lisbon. On March 30, Cristo returns with Travels in Lusomania, a musical extravaganza dedicated to the instruments and music that the Portuguese encountered during centuries of travel. In April Lula will present Catarina Cardeal and Mike Siracusa in Fado Blues "15" - an innovative fusion of Portuguese Fado Blues and Cuban Jazz that expands the parameter’s of fado and jazz. Portuguese speakers should also watch for Brazilian Storytelling Sunday April 10.
