New music ensemble Array Music will launch their new CD, ArrayLive! at Lula Lounge on November 10. Array Music has built an international reputation as one of the world's foremost presenters of new classical compositions. The Village voice calls Array Music "one of North Amercia's most astonishing founts of new music." The Toronto star describes their performances as "virtuoso displays of timing and technique."

Diego Marulanda & Pacande will launch their brand new CD Ke'Ma on Saturday, November 12. The CD features local luminaries Luis Orbegoso, Ruben Esguerra and Alex Godinez among many others. We've been listening to the advance copy of the CD in the Lula office all week and can guarantee that November 12 will be a dance party to remember. Lula owner Jose Ortega contributed all the original art work for the CD with the result that the recording has a distinctly Lula look as well as sound.

Gary Topp concludes his fall series at Lula Lounge with a three night engagement by one of the most revered composers, producers and artists of the last half of the 20th Century. One of the founding members of The Velvet Underground, Cale is the link between classical composer Aaron Copeland, the Patty Smith Group, John Cage and The Modern Lovers.
